A recent City-commissioned survey revealed 89 percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of the quality of life in San Marcos, and 79 percent indicated that San Marcos is on the right path.
Some of the issues I am working on to move San Marcos forward:
- Parks and trails
- We need to acquire and build more Parks and Trails
- Fiscal responsibility
- Continue to Balance budgets
- Maintain healthy cash reserves
- No new taxes
- Improved public services
- Keep crime rates low
- Keep fast emergency response times
- Keep well maintained streets, parks, and trails
- More transparency at City Hall
- Maintain transparency at City hall
- Veterans Memorial
- Build phases 2 and 3
- Traffic improvements
- Continue to search for more regional and local traffic solutions
- Insure that future development does not worsen traffic
- Economic improvement
- Assist local businesses to generate more revenue and jobs
- Build San Marcos Creek project and University District (to create jobs and generate revenue to local businesses)
