A recent City-commissioned survey revealed 89 percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of the quality of life in San Marcos, and 79 percent indicated that San Marcos is on the right path.
While many are struggling in this economy, San Marcos continues to be a vibrant city with balanced budgets, solid cash reserves, high levels of public services, and an enviable quality of life; without raising taxes.
This success is the result of good planning, strong financial responsibility, and a business oriented philosophy. We have a bright future including more parks and trails, creating a new downtown, and redeveloping the University district.
We still face many challenges that will require the proven leadership and experience that I can continue to provide.
